What Jetty Can Build
Everything on a plan is either something Jetty builds for you or a You do this step with instructions. This page covers what Jetty can build, which assets need the Chrome extension, and what you’ll always do yourself.
Assets
Section titled “Assets”| Area | Goes live right away | Needs the Chrome extension |
|---|---|---|
| Data | Properties (including calculated, rollup and synced properties), custom objects, association labels | HubSpot settings (see below), record page layouts |
| Sales & service | Deal and ticket pipelines | Sequences, sales templates, playbooks, task queues, deal tags, SLA goals (created switched off) |
| Automation | Workflows (created switched off), lists | Lead scores |
| Marketing | Forms (including fields that show or hide based on answers), marketing emails | Snippets |
| Reporting | Reports, dashboards (including deal-stage funnels and sharing), goals, goal templates | |
| Access & layout | Permission sets (using your existing roles), CRM cards, preview views |
A few things to know:
- Sequences send sales templates. Jetty builds each email in the sequence as its own sales template first.
- Goals are a deal-count or revenue target for one user.
- Record page layouts are new layouts. A new Contacts layout can also be assigned to existing teams.
- Projects, Appointments and Listings objects. HubSpot’s Projects and Appointments objects have to be switched on before Jetty can build pipelines, properties or workflows for them, and the Listings object has to be on before Jetty can build workflows for it. When you ask for one of these, Jetty can switch the object on as part of the plan. It never switches on anything you didn’t ask for.
HubSpot Settings
Section titled “HubSpot Settings”Jetty can also change HubSpot settings that are normally only available in HubSpot’s settings pages. Each of these has been tested on real HubSpot portals. Jetty only ever adds to your settings. Nothing is deleted, reset or switched on unless you asked.
| Setting | What Jetty can do |
|---|---|
| Contact lifecycle stages | Add new stages. Rename or reorder the custom stages you’ve added |
| Meeting types | Add new ones |
| Projects and Appointments objects | Switch them on, when you ask |
| Required properties when a deal or ticket moves to a stage | Add required or shown properties for a stage. Existing rules are never removed |
| Required fields on the “Create record” form | For Contacts and Deals, using properties that already exist. Existing fields are kept |
| Email subscription types | Add new ones. HubSpot doesn’t allow deleting them, and names of archived ones can’t be reused |
| Call outcomes | Add new ones |
| SLA goals | Created switched off, keeping your existing schedules |
Changing What’s Already There
Section titled “Changing What’s Already There”Jetty can change assets that are already live. See Changing Assets That Are Already Live.
Things You’ll Always Do Yourself
Section titled “Things You’ll Always Do Yourself”Jetty can’t do the things below. When you ask for one, Jetty adds a You do this step with instructions, or suggests an alternative, so nothing gets dropped.
- Users, seats, team membership, inbox and calendar connections, email sending domains, calling and recording settings, the mobile app
- Importing or migrating data
- Who can view or edit a specific property
- Custom-code workflow actions, and matching records by comparing their values (for example, buyers to listings by budget). Jetty offers a filtered list, view or report instead
- Saved board or table views, and renaming HubSpot’s standard objects
- Sending marketing emails from anyone other than a fixed user or the contact owner
- Workflow goals on anything other than contact workflows
- Switching on SLAs, or any setting you didn’t ask to switch on
Jetty won’t swap in a different object to get around a limit. For example, it won’t turn a request for a Projects pipeline into a deal pipeline.
Good to Know
Section titled “Good to Know”- Saved doesn’t mean running. After deploying, Jetty checks that HubSpot saved your workflows correctly. It can’t confirm they’ve run or enrolled the right records, so check those in HubSpot.
- Not available yet: switching on SLAs and setting SLA schedules; assigning record pages to teams beyond new Contacts layouts; team and forecast goals; dashboard email schedules; multistep forms.
- Integrations and data migrations depend on your client’s other systems, so Jetty can’t set them up for you.
- A calculated property that uses today’s date works, but HubSpot’s property editor shows “calculation can’t be displayed”.
